Job Summary:

Under general direction, create models/drawings for custom air handling units, which includes equipment layout inside the air handlers, assisting engineers in the development of Mechanical design drawings including, but not limited to piece part drawings, detailed design drawings for fabrication, assembly and installation; prepare layouts, and detail drawings; coordinate work with engineers.

Where Is The Work

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week

What You Will Do

  • Create Manufacturing Level Drawings/Models for Custom air handling units, which includes equipment layout inside the air handlers, assisting engineers in the development of Mechanical design drawings.
  • Provide technical HVAC support to production when needed.
  • Technical liaison with production personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring

  • Requires AS/Two-year Degree in CAD Operations or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related degree with a minimum of 3 years drafting experience in a related manufacturing design environment
  • Prefer a minimum of three – five years experience in custom air handler Drafting and/or design or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of Drafting standards and specification of custom air handling units or equivalent.
  • Desire to continuously seek improvement in existing process.
  • Creative and energetic personality willing to assume multi-dimensional role in a fast paced custom manufacturing business.
  • Good personal and end-user computing skills.
  • Requires proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and good mechanical aptitude. Geometric Dimensioning and tolerance System, general Drafting/design principles, and applicable Manufacturing process experience.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be autonomous (self-starter) and have good problem-solving skills.

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $55,000-$65,000

Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
