Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging lectures and presentations covering essential topics such as dental anatomy, radiology, infection control, chairside assisting, and dental materials.
- Conduct hands-on laboratory training to enhance students’ practical skills and confidence in executing dental procedures.
- Supervise and guide students during clinical rotations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and professional standards.
- Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to facilitate their growth.
- Stay informed on the latest advancements in the dental field, integrating current industry trends into the curriculum.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and fosters critical thinking.
- Mentor students by offering career guidance and effective study techniques throughout their educational journey.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and administrative staff to enhance curriculum offerings and instructional strategies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of dental assisting techniques, procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent communication abilities, with the capability to convey complex subjects to a diverse student audience.
- Capacity to provide constructive feedback and mentorship to nurture student progress.
- Flexibility in adapting teaching approaches to accommodate varied learning styles.
- Proficient in basic computer skills necessary for instructional purposes.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a dental assistant in a clinical environment.
- A strong commitment to education and a genuine passion for student success.
- Current certification or licensure as a dental assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous teaching experience or instructional roles are advantageous.
