Job Description
The Office Coordinator will provide administrative assistance and support to the Coordinator of Assessment and Evaluation Services.
P&BH: Reports to DIRECTOR PSYCH EMERGENCY SERVICES
Responsibilities
Provides accurate monthly statistical reports
Monitors departmental budget. Maintains office supplies and equipment
Attends and documents hours of continuing education programs
Identifies internal and external resources, identifies contact person for selected situations, makes resource referrals and identifies situations needing administrative assistance
Demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA regulations, defines emergency Medical Condition, defines stabilization as it pertains to EMTALA, and transfers patients to other facilities appropriately
Data Collections -- keeps accurate statistics and collects data for CH projects
Maintains professional relationships with doctors, staff, patients, agencies and others
Attends monthly staff meetings. Demonstrates flexibility regarding helping colleagues when needed
Acts as liaison with Community Service Board on-call workers
Orients and welcomes new employees and trainees
Keeps staff informed of caseload and referrals
Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma / GED
Required Experience: Courses in business and/or experience with word processing, spreadsheets, transcription, filing, copying and budgeting. Must posses good business skills as well as interpersonal skills
Preferred Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience. Experience in a hospital setting and familiarity with medical terminology
Required Certifications and Licensures: Valid Virginia Driver's License
