We are seeking a dynamic Senior Quality Engineer to join our dedicated QA & Continuous Improvement team in Waterloo, Iowa. This pivotal role involves leading and enhancing the implementation of quality processes, including the ISO-9001 standard. As a vital component of our organization, the Senior Quality Engineer will act as both a technical leader and advisor, setting strategies for Quality Assurance, improving manufacturing processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across multiple departments.
Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year plus bonus

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead the installation and application of ISO-9001 quality management systems.
- Assist in forming quality process strategies and drive improvements within the organization.
- Analyze industry standards and internal requirements to develop stringent Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Act as a subject matter expert, investigating and resolving quality issues and guiding Quality Inspectors and management teams.
- Facilitate projects from the High-Performance Team Board process to drive operational excellence.
- Support manufacturing processes to implement quality process enhancements effectively.
- Utilize expertise to influence the maintenance and application of preventative, root-cause and corrective-action systems.
- Communicate critical process flows to stakeholders visually and effectively.
- Develop strategies and deliver solutions tailored to organizational needs and add value through insightful leadership.
- Lead initiatives with minimal oversight, establishing goals and coaching teams towards achieving these.
- Prepare for and mitigate risks through proactive project management.
- Expected to travel 25-50% to different operational sites to implement strategies and oversee projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Proven manufacturing engineering experience.
- Depth of expertise in ISO-9000 and internal auditing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead quality assurance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong project management skills with a risk management focus.
- Ability to build robust relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Mastery in ISO-9000 with a strong background in applying standards in a manufacturing setting.
- Additional certifications such as CORE, Lean, or Six Sigma highly preferred.
- Proven track record of leading teams and projects with significant improvements in quality processes.
- Advanced technical skills with a strong analytical approach to problem solving.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills to aid in educational and process improvements.
- Strong change management skills to influence and enhance company culture through Quality Leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of data visualization techniques and process mapping to communicate ideas clearly.
- Leadership skills with the ability to set objectives and guide team execution and approach.
