Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Developer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of vital data repositories for a prominent law enforcement agency. Your expertise will be essential in facilitating web services that support crucial operational processes for both the agency and its statewide partners. This position plays a crucial role in the agency’s transition from summary-based reporting to incident-based reporting, aligning with federal standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the state's data repositories, with a focus on improving functionality and reporting capabilities.
• Maintain and support an established web portal that allows law enforcement agencies to report crime data in compliance with NIBRS (National Incident-Based Reporting System) standards.
• Provide on-demand reporting solutions accessible through the Maryland IBR System portal.
• Support the NIBRS data repository and assist in the certification and production submission processes to the FBI.
• Actively engage in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to the Delta Plus suite of modules.
  
  

Required Skills

• Minimum of three (3) years of recent software development experience in a mid to large-sized organization or a similarly sized non-profit.
• At least five (5) years of experience in developing Windows Applications using C# and VB.NET.
• Five (5) years of experience in designing and implementing systems utilizing Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) services.
• Proficiency in Windows Forms development.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in IT, alongside relevant business or industry experience.
