Your Key Responsibilities
- The Non-Destructive Testing Engineer Level III oversees NDT processes, ensuring continual improvement and compliance.
- Supports multiple Connecticut locations, requiring frequent travel for consistent implementation and collaboration.
- Manages NDT personnel qualifications and certifications, maintaining rigorous standards.
- Provides or supervises training, examinations, and certifications for NDT personnel.
- Conducts audits of external agencies to verify compliance with company standards.
- Interprets test results, determines acceptance/rejection based on codes and standards.
- Approves test methods, techniques, and procedures as needed.
- Collaborates with engineering on product design and tooling to integrate NDT requirements.
- Reviews and approves engineering drawings to ensure NDT compliance.
- Appoints NDT personnel, auditors, instructors, and examiners in conjunction with QA Manager, ensuring competence and alignment with company standards.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Associates degree in NDT
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in directly related field (level III)
- Computer literate with Microsoft applications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.
- 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification desired.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer/Reliability Engineer
