Job Summary
The Outdoor Class (OC) Manager’s primary responsibility is growing awareness and driving conversion through acquisition, renewal, and reactivation of OC subscribers. Additional responsibilities include coordination of support with various RMEF departments, including accounting, member services, digital media, and production. The position is also responsible for managing the generation of marketing content and coordination of course production, subject matter expert relations, and other daily operational duties as necessary.
This position is located at our headquarters in Missoula, MT and will not be remote.
Essential Functions
College graduate (Marketing, Management, Business) or equivalent experience preferred. Business Administration or Marketing is preferred or a combination of education and five years of experience in a business environment.
Must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in membership or subscription direct response marketing. Strong understanding of public relations is preferred.

Physical Demands
Office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time, frequent use of office equipment such as computers, light tables, printers, telephones and faxes. Light and some heavy lifting, bending and physical exertion may be required. Production of displays using hand tools and other appropriate materials may be needed. Some travel will be required including overnight travel and weekend work may require more than standard hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

Essential Functions
- Manage the implementation of direct response marketing programs, including the acquisition, renewal, and reactivation of Outdoor Class subscribers. Use analytical review and reporting of all activities to improve existing programs, recommend new programs and ensure success of the program.
- Collaborate with Brand & Communications and other departments as necessary, on subscriber communication, messaging and engagement strategies and tactics to drive subscription acquisitions and renewals. This includes conducting subscriber surveys, social media strategies, digital messaging, and additional engagement strategies.
- Report to supervisor and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) regularly on OC program performance. Manage and provide regular reporting, queries and outputs related to all subscriber activities to aid in project analysis and future planning. Drive innovation for the programs based on analytical findings.
- Manage all OC marketing activations, including live events. Ensure all OC marketing materials and messaging support subscriber acquisition and retention goals and messaging is on brand for OC.
- Working with Brand & Comms production staff and outside contractors to manage OC course production. Ensure support staff and contractors complete all course production elements plan and budget. Maintain flexibility as production calendar and budget are fluid.
- Responsible for managing course development process, including all course functions from scripting and course layout to field production to final edits and postproduction. Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) as necessary to build and complete course production.
- Support the ingesting, categorizing, and filing all video footage and assets to support OC marketing and course production.
- Manage and ensure timelines and budgets are met. Support annual budget development and forecasts and manage expenses accordingly.
- Ensure support staff and contractors respond to marketing requests for relevant content and assets to maximize branding and marketing opportunities.
- Manage independent contractors and third-party resources secured by Outdoor Class for the purpose of providing services as required.

- Must be very effective in developing and managing budgets to support programs and short- and long-term goals.
- Must have excellent leadership and facilitation skills and the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to analyze statistical and financial data to determine program and cost effectiveness.
- Must possess excellent research skills.
- Must be able to develop and implement creative and effective programs focused on membership development and retention and promoting the organization.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Must be able to handle changing priorities and be flexible to change.
