Position Description
The role of Venue Attendant is critical to the success and safety of each event. The Venue Attendant oversees all aspects of the venue during the event. The Venue Attendant should always conduct themselves with dignity and integrity.
Essential Duties And Tasks
Venue Maintenance and Operations
Regularly check and adjust AC/heating unit temperatures.
Conduct hourly sweeps of the venue and outdoor areas to inspect for:
Exterior conditions, lighting, building issues, or any potential concerns.
Ensure restrooms are clean, tidy, and fully stocked with essentials (toilet paper, paper towels, tissue, soap) throughout the event.
Clean venue areas as necessary and respond to major spills immediately.
Remove trash from ceremony sites and discard any abandoned items that could interfere with venue presentation or cause damage if left unattended.
Customer Service
Greet guests warmly as they arrive and welcome them to the property.
Greet and attend to the main client and their close associates.
Be available to assist the couple/client, bridal party, and guests with any unexpected needs.
Provide answers to venue- or event-related questions and address any concerns.
Politely enforce venue policies throughout the event.
Clear rooms of personal belongings during event cleanup.
Complete an event check-out sheet with the client before departure.
Bid farewell to guests upon event completion.
Vendor Coordination
Assist vendors with venue-related questions and needs.
Professionally and kindly ensure vendor compliance with venue policies, such as:
Proper trash disposal,
Adherence to acceptable noise levels,
Loading in/out through designated areas like the loading dock (not the front entrance).
Supervisory Responsibilities

Education And/Or Experience
Cheerful and welcoming attitude.
Professional demeanor.
Attention to detail.
Ability to judge what problems you can handle, and which are beyond your ability to handle and for which you should immediately contact your Venue Manager or Associate Director.
Ability to stay calm under pressure.
Basic computer skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The employee may be required to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and operate office machinery and motor vehicles.
Must be comfortable working with delicate prototypes and precision equipment, with attention to maintaining a clean and organized workspace in accordance with R&D safety standards.
Must be able to lift to (50) pounds. Specific work assignments may change without notice. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Most of the work will be performed in a climate-controlled environment, but the employee may be exposed to outdoor conditions such as inclement weather and varying degrees of temperature.
WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS
The schedule for this position will vary according to event dates and may include weekdays, weekends, and hours outside the standard Monday through Friday timeframe.
