Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer for our Flint, MI office. The qualified applicant will have experience in water/wastewater engineering and construction management principles, and will be familiar with the design, construction, and operation of municipal water and/or wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Performs major portions of assigned water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure related projects
- Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving design calculations, preparation of technical memorandum, preparation of contract documents such as specifications and drawings
- Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments
- Provides guidance to graduate level engineers
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision
- Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works
- Co-ordinates with other disciplines, sub-consultants, contractors and regulatory reviews
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Valid driver's license
- 8+ years of relevant Water/Wastewater and/or water conveyance industry experience
- Michigan PE license
- Experience managing projects
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $130,000.00 - $160,000.00.
