The Executive Director serves as a part of the Firm's executive leadership and plays an integral role in helping to develop the strategies to support the Firm’s vision and mission, and the operational tactics to achieve identified goals. The role requires significant initiative with regard to: 1) direction of the Firm; 2) business operations; 3) client service; 4) consistent and transparent communications across the Firm; and 5) collaboration between the management team and staff.
- Supervises, directs and manages the Firm's business and administrative operations, which includes oversight of human resources, financial affairs, information technology, marketing and business development, facilities and related functions;
- Attends relevant and appropriate meetings of Partners, the Executive Committee, Associates, and Firm Committees. Participates in other meetings as the Executive Committee may request; prepares minutes of Executive Committee and Partner meetings;
- Ensures members of the Firm's management are furnished with timely and accurate information and resources necessary to support all strategic and business operations; participates fully in senior leadership discussions, decision-making, and execution of strategic initiatives;
- Ensures Firm resources (budget, staff, technology, facilities) are appropriate to effectively and efficiently support and enhance the practices of the Firm;
- Promulgates sufficient, regular and timely exchange of information and ideas to and among the Executive Committee, Partners, attorneys, and staff;
- Assists the Firm's lawyers in the timely, efficient, and profitable delivery of legal and client services; and
- Assists the Firm in attaining its goals to increase profitability, depth in specified practice areas, size, and geographic reach.
- SHRM Certification preferred.
