Reporting to the Manager, Order Management, the Embroidery Digitizer will assume responsibility for converting designs, images, or documents into digital files using specialized software and tools. This role involves ensuring that the digitized version is accurate, clean, and ready for use in production, design, or archiving processes. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, familiarity with design software, and experience in digital transformation techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert artwork, designs, or patterns into digital formats using specialized software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Wilcom, etc.).
  • Ensure the accurate representation of the original image, including proportions, colors, and detail.
  • Prepare digital files for embroidery, printing, or other manufacturing processes by adjusting customer artwork.
  • Collaborate with teams to understand the specific requirements and desired output for each project.
  • Work side by side with the manufacturing team to troubleshoot difficult artwork.
  • Verify the quality and usability of digitized files through testing and sample production.
  • Edit and fine-tune customer supplied files as needed to meet client specifications or technical requirements.
  • Stay updated on the latest digitizing software and techniques to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot any issues with digitizing software or hardware and report technical difficulties.
  • Follow all file storage requirements within ERP.
  • Assist production art team with daily demand as schedule permits, including overtime.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in digitizing software such as Wilcom.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
  • Ability to work with both manual and digital design techniques.
  • Solid understanding of embroidery production processes.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of file formats (e.g., .dst, .emb, .png, .ai) and their appropriate use in various applications.
  • Experience in the embroidery or textile industry is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with vector art and raster graphics.
  • Knowledge of different file types used in embroidery machines or printing.
  • Will require overtime during peak production periods or as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for long periods while working at a computer station.
  • Manual dexterity for precise use of a mouse, or other input devices.

Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm (Hybrid possibility)
