We are currently searching for an R&D Software Engineer to join research and development organization with our Applied Product Development Group. You will be at the forefront of innovation when it comes to robotics application software.

Primary Responsibilities Will Include

  • Design, code, test, document, and maintain
    • Application software, which could include Arc, Laser, Dispense and other new applications
  • Applied Motion Control software, relating to path and motion control of FANUC robots
  • Specification, design, implement, and document enhancements to existing Application software and Applied Motion planning and control software of FANUC robots
  • Analyze, debug, and provide timely resolution to customer reported problems
  • Develop test plan and conduct testing of Application and Applied Motion control software, and to evaluate process and robot motion performance
  • Provide consulting and support to customers, integrators, and FANUC personnel outside of the development group in Application and Applied Motion Control system operation and process performance
  • Communication with the global FANUC development teams and other engineering staff on product and development related topics
Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Experience And Education

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related field
  • 1+ years Industry Experience (Automation, Manufacturing, Robotics, etc.)
  • Knowledge of C programming language
  • Excellent aptitude for software and software development tools

Preferred

  • Master’s or PhD with a focus in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Familiarity with robot motion planning and off-line programming knowledge
  • Knowledge of robotics application processes, including Spot, Arc, Laser, Dispense, and other applications
