LCSW/LPC - Juvenile Corrections



MindCare Solutions, is a leader in comprehensive mental health solutions in various settings: clinician owned and operated. We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or a Licensed Professional Counselor that is looking for a partnership in a growing organization with a strong team-mentality working in a corrections facility.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Compensation: $72,500 - $81,000 (based on experience)

Position Summary:

Provides for the care and management of the mental health needs of the inmate/patient population of a juvenile correctional facility.

• Provides mental health services such as intake, crisis intervention, individual counseling and group counseling
• Acts as a member of the treatment team to determine, coordinate and implement appropriate inmate/patient care
• Prepares and regularly maintains progress notes and discharge summaries on patients
• Facilitates regular therapeutic groups that address specific identified treatment issues and reinforces the inmates/patient's treatment plan
• Provides observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context
• Refers inmate/patient for outside services once released
• All other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in psychology, social Work, or counseling
• Must possess a current and unrestricted LCSW or LPC in the state of New Jersey (NJ)
• An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Applicants must successfully pass the required criminal background check
