POSITION: The Senior Director, Manufacturing (DP1) will be responsible for all DrinkPAK manufacturing activities in Southern California.  This individual will be charged with developing a strategy to drive operational excellence across 4 can lines and the liquid batching process.  The successful individual is a proven leader who is proficient at building culture as well as designing and implementing processes and structures to support high speed, complex manufacturing operations.


LOCATION: The position is based at DrinkPAK's headquarters in Santa Clarita, California.  The position is fully on-site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all 24/7 manufacturing activities for DP1 Santa Clarita.
  • Develop and execute a manufacturing strategic plan with process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to drive operational excellence.
  • Optimize the use of resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to achieve production targets and cost-efficiency.
  • Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring cost control and efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, and loss.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Promote a safe working environment and drive initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of manufacturing activities.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures to ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the supply chain, warehousing, maintenance, engineering, and quality leadership personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership and other stakeholders, providing updates on performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Directly manage a team of manufacturing managers, supervisors, and leads, and provide coaching and development tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to improve staff performance.
  • Evaluate and lead the adoption of emerging technologies and automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and reduce costs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of direct leadership experience in a large, complex manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Proven experience motivating and inspiring a team to achieve industry-leading performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with strong business acumen.
  • Proven commitment to safety with a clean safety record.
  • Ability to work actively on your feet for extended periods of time, navigate stairs comfortably, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
