The Campus Supervisor patrols and monitors campus activities to assure the well being and safety of students and staff at assigned locations on school grounds. They will enforce student, staff, and visitor compliance with school and organizational rules and procedures as well as respond to emergency situations.

Essential Duties:
- Patrol and monitor campus activities to assure the well-being and safety of students, staff, and visitors as directed
- Check in and escort students, staff, visitors according to school and organizational rules, regulations, and procedures
- Supervise students during passing periods, during lunch, after school, and as directed
- Enforce school and organizational rules, regulations, and procedures
- Investigate and report unusual suspicious, or criminal activities
- Respond to emergency situations
- Monitor and report unusual behavior or incidents
- Develop positive relationships with school community that are aligned with LPS’ culture and values
- Support the school’s detention, tardy and attendance systems
- Support the staff with disciplinary issues
- Perform related duties as assigned
Education and Experience
Any combination equivalent to:
- an associate's or bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Minimum of one year of successful campus support experience in an urban setting preferred
- Employment eligibility that may include fingerprints, tuberculosis and/or other employment clearance
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish highly desired
- Valid California Drivers’ License
- School rules and regulations
- Current social and behavioral problems affecting local students
- Basic methods of individual and group supervision
- Oral and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and professionalism
- Standard broadcasting procedures of a hand-held two-way radio system
- Patrol and supervise campus activities to assure the well-being and safety of students, staff, and visitors in non-classroom settings
- Assure student, staff, and visitor compliance with school and organizational policies and regulations
- Investigate and report suspicious activity
- Learn interpret, apply and explain rules and regulations
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Work effectively across diverse communities
- Demonstrate tact and confidentiality to earn the trust and respect of the LPS community to leverage student support options

- Instructional environment which includes indoor and outdoor activities
- Potential interaction with dissatisfied and/or difficult individuals
- Mental acuity
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard
- Hearing and speaking to communicate
- Seeing to observe and read materials
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
