Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Specialist to join our team, passionate about supporting individuals facing behavioral challenges and promoting positive change. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive mental health services, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and crisis interventions, for both adults and children with a range of mental health needs. You will work with individuals dealing with challenges such as addiction, mental illness, and physical limitations, helping them overcome these obstacles.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, coordinate, and evaluate clinical treatment programs, diagnosing, treating, or referring patients as needed.

Develop treatment plans and document case summaries.

Conduct mental health assessments to identify and address patient needs.

Provide outpatient therapy services and interventions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The Licensed Mental Health Professional will oversee clinical services, including conducting assessments, adjusting treatment plans, and planning discharges.

Strong background in evidence-based practices and clinical interventions.

Proficiency in psychosocial assessments and treatment planning.

Ability to foster relationships within the community and advocate for patients.

In-depth knowledge of community mental health and public health resources.

Excellent communication skills for coordinating treatment and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions, particularly in emergency situations.

Experience or familiarity with crisis stabilization services.

Ability to assess and monitor patient behaviors and progress throughout treatment.

Skill in working with caregivers, families, and educators to implement treatment plans.

Strong documentation and record-keeping abilities.

Experience collaborating with healthcare professionals and community support organizations.

Qualifications:

Masters Degree (Required)

Licensed Professional Counselor or Clinical Psychologist

A minimum of three years of clinical experience with the target population, including conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing individual and family therapy, and delivering crisis/behavioral interventions.
