THE POSTION: The Center Director serves as the Center Leader who is responsible for ensuring the mission and purpose of providing high quality, individualized and culturally directed services are delivered to program participants as designed by their care plans. The Center Director facilitates regular interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure the care plan goals and services are planned and implemented and interfaces with participants and staff to ensure high level of customer service and detail. The Center Director promotes the PACE model of operations to internal and external customers to achieve ongoing census growth and satisfaction with services and implements continuous process improvement projects to serve the community to a high level of excellence.
The salary range for the Center Director position at Center For Elders Independence is
$ 97,505 - $146,257 per year. Salary based on the market for the Center Director position as well as experience, skills, abilities and work history.
General Duties And Responsibilities
A Bachelor’s degree in a directly related area of study from an accredited college or university is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Three or more years of leadership experience supervising a diverse group of managers, clinicians and staff members in a health care setting required.
Experience working in a health care setting with seniors preferred.
Current CPR certification and First Aid training required.

Center for Elders’ Independence is a PACE (Program of All- Inclusive Care for the Elderly) organization that uses an interdisciplinary team approach to care planning and care implementation for the purpose of providing high quality, affordable, integrated health care services to the elderly, including an Adult Day Health Center, and promoting autonomy, quality of life and the ability of individuals to live in their communities. Unlike other healthcare plans, CEI is not a "fee-for-service" plan. It is a “capitation” healthcare plan. CEI is paid a set amount for each person enrolled in our program, whether or not that individual seeks care. We are a growing company that offers stability and continues to thrive.

General Duties And Responsibilities
- Promotes and ensures high quality of services to PACE program participants through coordination of healthcare services provided by a diverse team of health care disciplines in all aspects of center operations.
- Provides leadership and supervision for the day to day operations of the center and develops new and more efficient ways to provide services.
- Participates and collaborates in the development and delivery of strategic planning initiatives with Day Center Supervisor and other direct reports, peer Center Directors, Functional and other department Managers, and the Senior Leadership team.
- Collaborates with Day Center Supervisor and other direct reports, peer Center Directors, Functional and other department Managers and Senior Leaders to problem solve, innovate and design programs and operations that serve the participants, staff and community for improved quality outcomes and satisfaction.
- Models and leads PACE center team members to optimal performance by managing conflict, training, mentoring, counseling and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Facilitates group processes, including leading interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and ensuring appropriate allocation of resources by leading the team through problem-solving strategies.
- Oversees and provides direction to the team leaders for the day to day operations of the adult day center, clinic, rehabilitative services, home care, social and behavioral health programming, meals and transportation services of their center.
- Directly supervises Day Center Supervisor ensuring participants social, recreational, nutritional and personal care needs are met while attending the day center.
- Directly supervises the Clinic Supervisor, Rehab Supervisor, Social Worker Supervisor and center Registered Dietitian to ensure optimal performance of their assigned duties and functions.
- Adheres to the center budget, monitors spending and identifies opportunities for efficiencies and resource management.
- Ensures adherence to CEI policies, procedures and practices, Federal and State rules and regulations and reporting, HIPAA requirements and PACE program objectives. Trains staff and implements procedures and practices that facilitates ongoing compliance.
- Facilitates the orientation of new participants and ensures a seamless transition into the program services and participant satisfaction with their stated goals for enrollment into CEI.
- Ensures safety standards and practices are adhered to and the physical plant is clean and well-maintained and conforms to all regulatory requirements.
- Serves as a resource for information on the PACE program for visitors, and potential program participants and conducts site visits, tours and community presentations routinely.
- Prepares reports including quality indicators and process improvements and responses to incidents and grievances.
- Supervises the use and work of contracted staff at the Center.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Run effective meetings including facilitating group processes, conflict resolution and consensus building.
- Solve problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Understand organizational systems and apply leadership skills to effect positive change.
- Communicate effectively with staff from a wide variety of racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds with various degrees of educational attainment.
- Manage urgent situations and the need to make immediate decisions.
- Lead, direct and supervise.
- Keep confidential matters confidential.
- Develop administrative and managerial policies, practices and procedures and implementation.
