Position

Dyna Robotics is seeking an innovative AI Research Engineer to spearhead the design and development of cutting-edge AI models for dexterous robotic manipulation—a critical pillar in driving our go-to-market applications and advancing our vision of adaptable, multi-functional robots. In this role, you’ll own the entire AI model lifecycle, from data acquisition and preprocessing through to deployment and real-world performance optimization. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping Dyna Robotics' immediate product milestones and establishing a distinct competitive edge in the robotics industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and develop novel AI models focused on robotic manipulation
  • Design and implement scalable data infrastructure to accelerate model and algorithm iteration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the capabilities of robotic manipulation systems
  • Develop and deploy reliable, high-quality robotic software solutions
  • Establish and monitor metrics to evaluate and improve model performance

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in AI and robotics engineering
  • Proven experience in building end-to-end robotic learning solutions, from data collection to model deployment
  • Deep understanding of robot learning methods, such as reinforcement learning, imitation learning, variational autoencoders (VAEs), and diffusion models
  • Proficiency in large-scale data processing and pipeline creation
  • Knowledge of data integrity challenges and solutions
  • Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals (e.g., operating systems, databases, networking)
  • Experience with infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Expertise in Python and proficiency in at least one deep learning framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX)
  • Passion for robotics and advancing robotic products
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability to perform tasks necessary to ensure model or algorithm success in real-world applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-modal foundation models
  • High levels of creativity, productivity, and autonomy in research
  • Familiarity with robotic simulation platforms such as MuJoCo, NVIDIA Isaac, or Drake
