Benefits Of Joining The Team

  • Compensation: $55,000 - $60,000 annually
  • Hire Type: Full-time, Contract-to-Hire
  • Schedule Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. In-Office.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and review weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Review and process vendor invoices and customer payments.
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Matching invoices to Inbound & Outbound items, entering bills and cutting checks weekly.
  • Overseeing employee expenses, credit card purchases, bookkeeping (AP/AR) and order entry/customer service to ensure accuracy of all transactions and data, performing backup AP/AR & order entry dues as needed.

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Closing out books monthly by checking into unshipped Sales Orders, unpaid Invoices, upcoming Bills and adjusting or making changes as needed

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Creating budget, financial reports and cost comparisons for different company segments; presenting information to CPA and administration as needed
  • Researching ways to improve business spending while reducing costs.
  • Monitor budget-to-actual variances and provide explanations as needed.
  • Processing & recording credit application, customer refunds, credit memos etc.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop accurate budget projections.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

  • Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Monitoring quarterly state payroll requirements and filing any payments if necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or accounting certification strongly preferred but not required.
  • In lieu of college degree, 5+ years of verifiable experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a Supervisory role required.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks strongly preferred.
  • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage me efficiently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
