PSC Group is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to support our Sustainability Logistics operation. This person will serve as an advocate for the customer, work proactively to understand customer concerns and needs, and will facilitate follow-up to resolve any issues and concerns. PSC is a partner of the Plastics Industry Association’s Operation Clean Sweep program. We are now providing sustainability and recycling programs to help plastic resin manufacturers protect the environment by reducing and eliminating pellet, flake, and powder loss.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts with possible weekends on call

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Effectively manages internal customer relations as it pertains to final product delivery.
  • Coordinates with Quality Assurance Manager for external customer relations, final product specifications management, and product investigations.
  • Works with Plant Managers to instill a product quality mindset and competence throughout the organization.
  • Provides daily oversight of analytical data and methods for product release and compliance testing.
  • Provides support to Operations and Commercial on daily issues concerning product quality and compliance testing.
  • Provides support for investigations to resolve product quality and regulatory non-conformances.
  • Takes the lead role in resolving differences in Quality Measurement Lab data and other data sources.
  • Drives product quality management focus, principles and practices.
  • Identify and implement improvements to Quality Management Systems and procedure that impact product quality (PQ).
  • Drives PQ investigations and corrective actions.
  • Validates key product release work processes/practices are followed and reviewed for effectiveness.
  • Validates the site is obtaining required external authorities for product release (e.g., waivers).
  • Reviews and recommends changes to product release protocol, processing changes, and testing changes. that could impact PQ by the MOC process.
  • Maintains performance tracking metrics and risk registry for the Site’s PQ.
  • Reviews previous product quality incidents data for site trends and threats.
  • Coordinates Health Checks and Audits of PQ work processes, reviews findings and action items as necessary.
  • Serves as a liaison to Operations for product release.
  • Works with Chemicals product quality teams to ensure current and future products are fit for purpose.
  • Responsible for development and monitoring of quality KPIs and reporting of quality performance.
  • Promotes a culture of quality compliance and improvement within the organization.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Stable work history with good references from past employers
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
