Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-procedure consultations with patients to ensure they are well-informed and comfortable.
- Review and explain consent forms, addressing any patient inquiries regarding the surgical procedure.
- Perform thorough preoperative assessments to ascertain patient readiness.
- Ensure all surgical equipment is prepared and verified for use during operations.
- Provide timely updates to family members regarding the status of surgeries throughout the procedure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in conducting preoperative assessments.
- Strong understanding of surgical protocols and standards.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage various tasks efficiently.
- Compassionate approach to patient care, ensuring a reassuring environment for patients and their families.
- Current RN license in the state of California.
- Preferred experience in an operating room setting, with a solid knowledge of surgical practices and patient care standards.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN) from an accredited institution is required.
