We're searching for a visionary Senior Director of Marketing to lead our dynamic marketing team of 8. As the Senior Director reporting into the CEO of CourseHero.com, you'll lead strategic initiatives in growth marketing, lifecycle marketing, and partnership marketing, leveraging your expertise to transform studying experiences seamlessly for +25M users and growing!


In this pivotal role, you'll also collaborate closely with the Product team on building product marketing strategies, ensuring seamless integration of marketing efforts with product development initiatives.


Your leadership will drive the creation of innovative campaigns that resonate with our diverse audience of students, educators, and lifelong learners. As you work with cross-functional teams, you'll optimize the customer journey, from acquisition to retention, delivering exceptional user experiences at every touchpoint. Here are some ways you will make an impact:

  • Own and build growth marketing strategies across the full-customer lifecycle, driving a profitable top-line impact at the Corporate level (channels include SEM, ASO, ASA, Email, Push, influencer, affiliate, organic and paid social)
  • Lead and mentor an impactful and data-driven team
  • Lead and supervise performance marketing initiatives across multiple channels, including performance marketing, influencer marketing, and affiliate marketing, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and driving measurable results
  • Direct and guide teams in the development and execution of content marketing strategies, landing page optimization, and website enhancements to drive organic growth
  • Guide social media and influencer marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and community building
  • Ruthlessly prioritize marketing channels and initiatives to ensure maximum impact on company KPIs
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product to communicate its positioning, messaging, and value for customer adoption
  • Bring a product marketing mindset to the company by collaborating with product on product naming, position, and go-to-market strategies
  • Partner with User Research to uncover key insights, market trends, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities and optimize marketing strategies
  • Implement strategies to measure and track brand performance, sentiment, and awareness
  • Manage marketing budgets effectively to achieve desired KPIs and P&L goals


Are you our Senior Director of Marketing?

  • 10 - 15+ years of marketing experience, including 5+ years in managing teams
  • Experience scaling up B2C products and driving substantial user growth
  • Deep expertise in performance marketing, including SEM, social media, influencer, display advertising, and affiliate marketing
  • Empathetic and strategic leader that inspires teams to deliver high-impact work on time, on budget, and on brand
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with an ability to partner with product, design, analytics, and engineering in a product management-led company
  • Data-driven with a strong understanding of complex product and marketing metrics and modern martech tools
  • Proven experience with product marketing and go-to-market strategies
  • A strong creative point of view with experience driving virality and organic engagement
  • Entrepreneurial drive and hands-on spirit to deliver business results

The base pay for this position is dependent on multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed below. You may also be eligible to participate in our bonus program and may be offered an equity award, benefits, and other types of compensation.

$191,000—$259,000 CAD


In accordance with California law, the base salary for this role if filled within SF Bay Area, California is as follows.
