- Ability to commit to a schedule and have flexibility with patient assignments
- Have good time management skills and communication with team members and other disciplines.
- Engaged Staff and Leadership team.
- Bachelor's Degree Completion of a Occupational Therapy program is required
- No experience required
- 1 year of acute care experience is strongly preferred.
- OT - Occupational Therapist Texas Occupational Therapy License Upon Hire is required And
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English; Problem solving ability; Ability to teach others; Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.
- Performs age appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care
- Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient assessment and individualizes care based on age specific needs
- Performs age appropriate patient treatment
- Demonstrates Professional accountability
- As required, participates appropriately in departmental safety drills / emergency procedures.
- Performs Appropriate Documentation
- Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other
- Documents and reports unusual occurrences, on the job injuries, and medical device malfunctioning
- Participates in strategies to meet business initiatives and unit/team, program, and department specific goals and targets.
