We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead and manage multifaceted construction projects in the heavy civil industry. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in orchestrating project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. This leadership position requires a strong commitment to safety and efficient project execution while fostering effective communication with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce compliance with safety regulations among all field personnel.
- Oversee the complete construction project timeline.
- Take a pivotal role in project planning, budgeting, and resource identification.
- Manage all communication between the Contractor and Subcontractors.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction activities regularly, facilitating ongoing status meetings with sub-teams.
- Develop and present progress reports, proposals, and necessary documentation.
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze outcomes, and address any challenges.
- Collaborate with assigned Superintendents to proactively manage project scope changes and devise contingency plans.
- Extensive project management expertise with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong understanding of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in HCSS Heavy Bid and project management software (e.g., P6).
- Exceptional interpersonal and human relation skills.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry, including roles such as surveyor, estimator, project coordinator, or project manager.
