Role Description
The Chief Growth Officer (CGO) is a newly created position within Comtech. With that in mind, this is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, creative, innovative leader and business strategist. As the highest executive responsible for leading the development and execution of Comtech’s integrated and long-term growth strategy you will be responsible for inspiring and leading teams across multiple service lines.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the executive leadership team, the CGO will play a key role in partnering with the organization’s leadership to expand Comtech’s reach and impact of their work by inspiring collaboration across their talented business area leaders and maturing the infrastructure that supports Comtech’s business development and customer relationship management practices.

esponsible for leading and executing the company’s growth strategy across the federal and civilian government sectors, including agencies. The ideal candidate will possess extensive relationships within these sectors and a proven track record of leveraging those relationships to drive revenue growth, expand partnerships, and capture federal contracts. This role is focused on driving growth through key relationships and ensuring Comtech is positioned as a leader in delivering innovative technology solutions to federal and civilian agencies. The CGO will collaborate with executive leadership, lead the business development teams, and develop strategies to position Comtech as a preferred partner in federal markets.

- Be a forward-thinking strategic leader skilled in driving the creation of new services, revenue streams, strategic partnerships, and business models.
- Possess strong business planning and execution skills with the discipline and background needed to develop a rigorous process for vetting potential new business opportunities and advancing new pricing strategies that provide value to Comtech’s customers.
- Have strong data analytics skills with the capacity to integrate data-driven outcomes into the business decision-making process.
- Be a collaborative leader skilled at building strong teams across diverse departments by creating synergy across business areas, fostering an environment that promotes sharing new ideas, and making connections that add value across service lines and with customers and amplify the impact of everyone’s work.
- Lead the growth and business development strategy across federal and civilian government sectors.
- Leverage existing high-level relationships with government agencies, prime contractors, and industry leaders to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Build new relationships with key federal and civilian stakeholders to expand Comtech’s footprint within existing and new clients and markets.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing strategic partnerships, federal contract opportunities, and business solutions tailored to government needs.
- Oversee the capture and proposal process for key opportunities, ensuring Comtech builds the right teaming strategies and submits winning proposals.
- Provide strategic oversight on government contracting vehicles and acquisition processes, ensuring Comtech is well-positioned for upcoming solicitations.
- Champion innovation within the company by identifying new business models, market opportunities, and partnerships to further strengthen Comtech’s capabilities.
- Cultivate a growth-oriented culture, identifying opportunities for innovation and value creation across the organization.
- Extensive relationships and network across federal, civilian and State and Local government sectors
- Proven track record in business development, capture management, and revenue generation in federal contracting.
- Experience in overseeing the capture process for government contracts, including proposal development and teaming strategies.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a business development team.
- Experience working in technology, healthcare, or government sectors with a focus on business development and strategic growth.
- Established network within the technology and government contracting ecosystem, with relationships with key decision-makers in federal agencies.
