EHS Role in IA and OH

Are you passionate about safety and ready for a new role? Look no further, our leading food processing company has two exciting opportunities for an EHS Safety Specialist in Ohio and Iowa. As one of the top 5 producers in the US, this company has recently expanded operations nationwide.

As the Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with safety policies, programs, and regulations at our facility. With a focus on promoting a strong safety culture, you will work closely with facility and corporate management to support and implement safety initiatives. Our ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish and English and has at least 2 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with all Federal and State health and safety standards
• Foster a safety-focused company culture
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, and corrective actions
• Provide safety training for employees
• Investigate accidents and develop prevention plans
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of safety experience, preferably in food manufacturing
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with teams
• Bachelor's degree in safety or equivalent experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• 30 Hour OSHA for General Industry Certificate
• Experience working with regulatory agencies (OSHA, State programs, etc.)
  
  

Compensation And Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $70,000 - $80,000
