Job Summary

The HR Generalist is a critical role that drives our employee experience by leading the day-to-day HR operations. This role with work with managers across the organization providing guidance on employee relations matters and acting as a resource to employees the first point of contact for employees' human resource related issues including payroll, benefits, leave of absence, and labor law compliance. Through a consultative approach you will problem solve, influence resolution and mitigate risk. The role requires a versatile individual who can work independently, use resources effectively, adapt swiftly to changing circumstances, ensure diligent follow-through on tasks, and consistently uphold a high standard of professionalism and composure

Essential Functions

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Act as a key point of contact for employee concerns, offering guidance to resolve issues and maintain positive working relationships.
  • implement efficient onboarding practices to facilitate a smooth start for newcomers.

  • Ensure that HR policies are well-communicated and consistently applied across all markets
  • Ensure that all HR activities align with applicable labor laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Regularly review and update policies to reflect current legal standards, managing communication and training of such policies
  • Collaborate with managers to identify employee training needs and support the delivery of programs aimed at enhancing skills and career growth.
  • Maintain and utilize HR systems to track essential metrics, providing insights to drive performance initiatives and drive strategies for continuous improvement
  • Lead initiatives to foster an engaging and inclusive workplace.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, working with external partners to resolve any issues. (including leave administration, workers compensation and unemployment claims)
  • Guide managers in conducting performance reviews and supporting performance development initiatives; assist in aligning employee objectives with organizational goals.
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance HR processes, improve workflows, and promote operational efficiency.
  • Lead HR-related projects that support the company’s strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required

  • Exceptional problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong attention to detail with organizational, record-keeping, time management and follow-upskills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with HR systems
  • Ability to analyze data and reports and make recommendations to drive a performance driven culture
  • Ability to work with others to build and maintain a cohesive and positive team environment.
  • Understanding of benefits, compensation and payroll, ability to communicate technical and complex information to all levels of an organization
  • Knowledge of labor laws, specifically as it applies in telecommunications / and or construction related industries; knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act, and the National Labor Relations Board required
  • Strong desire to be on a high growth, winning team, working side-by-side with passionate, purposeful people; naturally curious.
  • Self-starter and finisher; proven experience taking initiative.
  • Work independently with appropriate allocation of time management and organization
  • Highest ethical and professional conduct

Education And Experience

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field desirable
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a broad-based HR role
  • Industry experience in telcommunications, construction or utilitie industry preferred

Compensation

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The annual base salary for this position is $94k - $112k.
