Definition

The Estimator is responsible for the accuracy of project quotations generated via the 3form CRM by our Regional Material Consultants. Once assigned a project, the Estimator is expected to be the main point of contact for General Contractors and Subcontractors during the quoting phases of the project and is the secondary contact behind The Project Coordinator for all other phases. The Estimator will report directly to the Estimating Manager and will require minimal oversight on a day-to-day basis.

This is a customer-facing, revenue-driven role, and the ideal candidate must be confident quoting a broad range of 3form technical solutions (training will be provided) to our customers and deliver them in a professional manner both verbally and in documented forms. A successful Estimator will be able to multitask and prioritize competing tasks and deadlines and demonstrate the ability to make the best decisions under pressure from customers on various projects in different stages of completion.

The Estimator will work along with team members and Material Consultants in driving the growth of the company and team’s revenue. They will ensure the clarity and accuracy of project quotations, complete pricing for our Certified Installer Partners, and discuss quotations and resolve concerns with our construction industry customers.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to anticipate and address any potential issues; i.e. design, supply chain and field issues etc. They must be a strong team player who is proactive, possesses creative problem-solving skills, and demonstrates good business judgment and can work comfortably in a fast-paced office atmosphere. This position requires the Estimator to be responsive to requests from customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities And Duties

Core A+D Estimating:

• Completes and distributes material and solution quotations as identified via the RFQ system in the my3form CRM tool.
• Ensures quotations contain complete bill of materials + cut lists to fulfill project requirements
• Reviews incoming RFQs for completeness and contacts Material Consultants and / or customers directly for missing information
• Completes and distributes Certified Installer Partner quotes.
• Is the main internal point of contact for questions regarding the quote for the Materials Consultants, Specifiers and Contractors during the bidding stage.
• Makes clear notes regarding exceptions, assumptions and project submittal requirements.
  
  

Project Management And Execution

• Supports Project Coordinators and Project Managers in the execution of orders.
• Works with Technical Support to ensure solution requirements are communicated to the installation team.
  
  

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, design and fabrication drawings is preferred.
• Can read and write fluently in English.
• Intermediate Level – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint , Outlook, Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam
• Desirable but not required: AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Rhino, SketchUp, or similar CAD experience
  
  

Work Experience

• 2+ years experience in customer service, sales support, estimating, or other relevant work.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a bonus.
  
  

Training

Training will be provided to the successful candidate so they are able to utilize ICE software system and able to fully utilize my 3Form project interface as well as online catalogs, technical specifications and drawings.
