About The Role
You will be working on Block Harbor's flagship product, the Vehicle Security Engineer Cloud, a SaaS platform that connects and automate automotive cybersecurity engineering activities on a single framework. Deriving from the years of knowledge and experience from our service teams, VSEC guides users through Design, Test, and Operation phases of automotive cybersecurity engineering activities using industry best practices and up-to-date technical details and ensures adherence to standards and regulations.
This role is focused on understanding the workflows of cybersecurity engineering teams and designing intuitive, yet comprehensive interfaces to accommodate a variety of user skill levels. The candidate must have a detail-oriented mindset and can organize complex data sets to display them in the most informative and elegant manner.

What You'll Do
- Design sophisticated, intuitive interfaces, considering both user expectations and technical constraints
- Design effective data visualization components for complex scientific and engineering data
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive design system in Figma that ensures consistency across the product and other designers
- Work closely with our product and engineering teams to translate technical requirements into user-friendly designs with a highly agile and goal-focused design process
- Lead internal and external user research, to provide data-driven insights to support design decisions and advocate for the user throughout the product development process
- 4+ years of experience in graphic and web design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch)
- Proven track record of shipping successful products and driving measurable improvements in user experience
- Experience in leading user research, including the ability to design studies that reveal genuine user needs beyond surface-level requests
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate and defend design decisions to various stakeholders
- Deep understanding of human-computer interaction principles and application design patterns
- Ability to critically evaluate feature requests and propose alternative solutions that better address underlying user needs
- Strong critical thinking skills and the confidence to challenge assumptions
- Patience and excellent attention to detail to read through this list and find the purpose of life in ISO 21434
- Ability to balance user advocacy with business and technical constraints
- Proactive problem-solver who can identify opportunities for improvement beyond stated requirements
- Curious and collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across disciplines
- Continuous learner who stays updated with the latest trends and best practices in UI/UX design
