Intern Program Coordinator | Longview

Job scope: Provide training and instruction to student interns on Center mission, services, locations, documentation, assessments and other clinical processes. Monitor the interns throughout their internships by coordinating with program managers and obtaining feedback on performance. Recruit student interns by establish working relationships with university personnel to inform them of internship opportunities. Identify and select appropriate student interns interested in working in the mental health field. Participate in career fairs on campus and in other environments. Demonstrate working knowledge of the Center's programs and prepares presentations to educate key stakeholders in the community.

Education/licensure: Bachelor or Masters degree from an accredited university. Supervisory and training experience preferred.

Current Driver's License in state of residence.

Experience/Knowledge: Experience providing training, public speaking, and creating presentations using PowerPoint or other computer systems preferred. Advanced communication and writing skills. Ability to learn and gain understanding of the behavioral health field and related illnesses. Working knowledge of computer and ability to work within an electronic health record.

Physical requirements that are bona fide occupational qualifications essential to the performance of the job:

Mobile and able to bend and reach during 8-12 hour day

Must be able to adequately complete Satori Alternatives for Managing Aggression (SAMA), First Aid and CPR training

Work endurance sufficient to work an 8-12 hour day
