Key Responsibilities of the Bartender:
- Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintaining inventory records.
- Greets and provides immediate attention to guests, learn the names of members and personally recognize them.
- Prepare garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks.
- Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned.
- Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products and communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.
- Ensures compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.
- Adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated guests.
- Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
- Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Performs other duties as required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1-2 years of bartending experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must meet legal state age requirements to serve alcohol.
- Possesses working knowledge of cocktail recipes, as well as knowledgeable in liquor, beer and wine varieties.
- Alcohol Awareness Training.
