Site Superintendent
As a Site Superintendent, you will be a critical on-site leader, directly ensuring that the construction of Vessel’s innovative products is executed with precision, on schedule, and in full compliance with safety and quality standards. You’ll work alongside crews at client sites, overseeing daily construction operations, managing vendor relationships, and coordinating with municipal officials to meet all project requirements. Your hands-on approach will ensure that all aspects of the job site are prepared, organized, and aligned with project timelines.
This position is based near our construction sites around New Haven, CT.

Site Superintendent
As a Site Superintendent, you will be a critical on-site leader, directly ensuring that the construction of Vessel’s innovative products is executed with precision, on schedule, and in full compliance with safety and quality standards. You’ll work alongside crews at client sites, overseeing daily construction operations, managing vendor relationships, and coordinating with municipal officials to meet all project requirements. Your hands-on approach will ensure that all aspects of the job site are prepared, organized, and aligned with project timelines.
This position is based near our construction sites around New Haven, CT.
What You Will Do In The Role
- Lead on-site construction activities, managing and supporting crews to maintain smooth daily operations and meet project goals
- Ensure all safety protocols are strictly adhered to, maintaining OSHA compliance and a safe work environment for all team members
- Coordinate with project managers and cross-functional teams to align construction timelines with manufacturing and delivery schedules
- Supervise trade vendors, such as plumbing and concrete contractors, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and contractual obligations
- Engage with city officials to ensure all permits are in place and maintain regulatory compliance throughout the project
- Manage site logistics, including material organization, cleanliness, lockups, and equipment readiness
- Oversee daily production targets and resource allocation, including managing crew schedules and performance metrics
- Prepare each day’s activities, ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are organized for the following day’s work
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (equivalent industry experience will be considered)
- 5+ years of experience in construction or site management, particularly in building site environments
- Proven track record of managing construction teams on-site, overseeing construction schedules, and ensuring project deliverables are met on time
- Proficiency with scheduling and project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, or similar software
- OSHA certification and the ability to operate a forklift
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to address challenges on-site and maintain strong relationships with vendors and municipal officials
- Familiarity with city permits, construction codes, and sustainable building practices
- High attention to safety and compliance, ensuring that job sites meet regulatory standards at all times
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Lean Six Sigma certification, showcasing a commitment to continuous improvement and industry best practices.
- Base salary of $120,000 annually, with additional forms of compensation like equity and bonuses included in the total package.
