Job Overview

We invite you to become a key player in our esteemed organization as the Vice President of Operations for Membership and Health & Wellness. In this influential leadership role, you will be instrumental in shaping strategies that drive growth and establish best practices across our network of branches, ensuring exceptional service delivery to our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the implementation of operational strategies, growth initiatives, and best practices for Membership and Health & Wellness throughout the organization.
  • Oversee and mentor branch leadership, guaranteeing high efficiency in operations and effective program execution.
  • Facilitate Quality Circles, committees, and project teams to enhance service delivery.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training efforts for branch leaders and direct reports, fostering an environment of continuous professional development.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Management Team to further the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Engage actively with Community Advisory Boards and develop strong relationships with local organizations and businesses.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets to meet financial targets and manage expenditures.
  • Represent the organization within the community, promoting our mission and enhancing our outreach efforts.
  • Inspire innovation in program development to align with our strategic goals and address community needs.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with general computer/tablet functions.
  • Proven capability to cultivate and maintain partnerships with community organizations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or recreation management preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of management experience, preferably within a YMCA or similar nonprofit organization.
  • At least 5 years of experience in program management focused on membership, sales, retention, and health and wellness services.
  • YMCA Multi-Team Leader certification or a commitment to obtain within two years.
