As a Medical Services Supervisor at Compass Health Network, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of our medical services team, which includes Medical Assistants, Patient Care Specialists, Medical Schedulers, and Clinic Nurses within the Primary Care setting. As a Medical Services Supervisor at Compass Health Network, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of our medical services team, which includes Medical Assistants, Patient Care Specialists, Medical Schedulers, and Clinic Nurses within the Primary Care setting. This position serves as the lead for special projects in collaboration with the Vice President of Primary Care Operations, contributing to the enhancement of patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer program operations, ensuring seamless coordination of services and communication among all program components.
- Uphold and ensure compliance with all licensing and accreditation standards, including HRSA, DMH, NCQA, and CARF.
- Supervise laboratory functions, ensuring adherence to CLIA and OSHA standards.
- Oversee the management of Pharmaceutical Patient Assistance Applications and ensure accurate documentation of medication-related activities.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure that VFC program guidelines are followed and manage vaccine and medical supply inventory.
- Participate in the agency’s Quality Improvement program, including PDSA cycles for process improvement.
- Remain updated on Medicare, Medicaid, and Private Insurance Carrier changes related to covered services and patient care.
- Document and report all incidents in accordance with agency policies.
- Lead weekly Integrated Care Team meetings as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Optimize staff productivity to enhance overall performance and efficiency.
- Work with executive leadership to ensure programs operate within budget and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations and participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of medical services staff.
- Ensure culturally competent service delivery by staff to meet the unique needs of consumers and families.
- Promote excellent customer service standards as trained and manage special projects as assigned.
- Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
- Proficient in medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage staff performance and productivity.
- Collaborative approach within a multi-disciplinary team.
- RN or LPN licensed in Missouri is required.
- Practical Nursing Certificate required.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience is preferred.
- LPN candidates with supervision or care management experience may be considered with approval.
