The Youth Community Crisis Service (YCCS) program is a 24/7 short stay community-based alternative to hospitalization for youth ages 13-18 with behavioral health (MH, SUD, and co-occurring disorders) symptoms.

The YCCS clinician provides assessment and treatment planning, stabilization and treatment, disposition planning and risk management/safety planning for individuals staying at the Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) Unit.

The Following Are The Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, brief crisis counseling, and psychoeducation through individual and group modalities
  • Ensures initial treatment plan is completed, a multidisciplinary team has been assigned, and that the treatment team has met to review the assessment and initial treatment plan within 24 hours of an individual's admission to the CCS.
  • Ensures recordkeeping/documentation in accordance with internal and external requirements
  • Provides ongoing face-to-face assessment, stabilization and treatment to the individual as indicated by the CCS treatment plan
  • Provides daily re-evaluation and assessment of readiness for discharge
  • Engages individuals in structured therapeutic activities -- including treatment activities designed to stabilize the individual; restore functioning; strengthen the resources and capacities of the individual, family and other natural supports

Requirements

  • LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC in state of service or a clinic master's degree required
  • Master's degree in counseling, Social Work or related field
  • One to three years of clinical experience
  • CPR required within two weeks of hire
