    First 30 days:

    • Develop an intimate understanding of our organization, mission, products, team, clients, culture, and role expectations by working alongside the production crew in each area

    First 60 Days

    • Develop a working knowledge and thorough understanding of our purchasing systems

    First 90 Days

    • Create purchase orders and manage the purchasing of all inventory

    Ongoing

    • Developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies for cost optimization and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
    • Identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards.
    • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, payment terms and mutually beneficial agreements.
    • Managing supplier relationships, including ongoing performance evaluation, issue resolution and fostering long-term partnerships.
    • Monitoring inventory levels, analyzing demand patterns and implementing inventory management strategies to manage stock levels and avoid shortages or excesses.
    • Report issues with regards to the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to the Director of Quality Assurance or executive leadership team and adhere to the requirements of the FSMS.
    • Develop and maintain supplier scorecard system
    • Contribute to projects as requested
