This remote position plays a pivotal role in the rigorous verification and validation of firmware for Solid State Drive (SSD) security features. By partnering closely with firmware engineers and architects, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of verification tests, ensuring our product security features adhere to the utmost industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with firmware engineers and architects to establish a comprehensive verification framework for SSD security functionalities.
- Design, develop, and implement both white-box and gray-box tests for SSD products within the development pipeline.
- Engage in meticulous code and test plan reviews to verify the scalability and efficiency of tests, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
- Lead efforts in failure analysis and work collaboratively with integration and execution engineers to facilitate prompt test deployment and issue resolution.
- Conduct triage and debugging processes for test failures, working closely with firmware engineers to analyze logs and events for accurate troubleshooting.
- Proficient in Python, C, or C++ programming languages.
- Strong architectural review capabilities, adept at guiding and evaluating test development initiatives and coverage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of embedded software and storage fundamentals, including familiarity with NVMe/PCIe specifications.
- Experience with Git, Continuous Integration (CI), and source code management, along with an understanding of agile development methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across multifunctional teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- For candidates holding a Bachelor's degree: 7+ years of experience in storage, semiconductor, or non-volatile memory development.
- For candidates with a Master's degree: 6+ years of relevant experience.
- A demonstrated passion for storage technology and secure product development.
- Substantial experience in product security engineering, particularly in the validation of security algorithms and features.
- Proficiency with security protocols such as TCG Opal/Ruby/Pyrite, IEEE 1667, and SPDM.
- Familiarity with applied cryptography and security, including secure boot, device attestation, and user data encryption.
