The Director of Aftermarket Business Development will provide significant input and direction for key strategic questions for Oshkosh Corporation. Pay Range
$132,500.00 - $233,100.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions. The Director of Aftermarket Business Development will provide significant input and direction for key strategic questions for Oshkosh Corporation. Your Impact
- Understands and articulates customer’s evolving approach to aftermarket product support of defense equipment.
- Sets strategic direction for the capture of new and emerging aftermarket opportunities including aftermarket parts sales, field service/support campaigns, and logistics support.
- Coordinates with Defense Logistics Agency to identify supply chain constraints, obsolescence risks, or capability gaps that can be resolved through Oshkosh provided solutions.
- Leads critical projects and initiatives to proactively address changes to government budgets and spending trends for aftermarket material and services.
- Develops project scope and plan for key strategic projects and initiatives, including deliverables, milestones, and timing.
- Organize and guide a cross-functional team of leaders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with defense equipment depots, logistics service providers, and the defense logistics community.
- Conducts research and surveys to determine promising areas of aftermarket development. Establishes and maintains numerous contacts within and outside the aftermarket industry.
- Identifies opportunities for aftermarket technology and product innovation to drive growth and capture new markets.
- Works and coordinates closely with platform program managers and engineers leading new technology initiatives.
- Develops, coordinates and implements business strategies to align with the company’s objectives to drive aftermarket growth and profitability.
- Designs and leads analysis efforts to identify simplification opportunities and quantify potential impact with support of various functions.
- Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Development or a related technical field.
- Ten (10) or more years of related experience OR Seven (7) or more years of related consulting experience.
- Five (5) or more years of management experience.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
- Military experience in Army or Defense Acquisitions
- Military tour at TACOM in an acquisition-related billet
- Experience with defense logistics, supply chain management, or maintenance planning
- Knowledge of and familiarity with the Army acquisition community
- Master’s degree in the field or in a related area; MBA preferred.
- Fifteen (15) or more years of experience.
- Experience with complexity reduction concepts.
- Thought leadership, change management, and project management experience.
- Ability to influence change and build relationships with other business leaders.
- Ability to conduct executive level presentations and facilitate group discussions to tackle complex problems.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and to impact others to move toward consensus.
