SUMMARY: We are thrilled to discover an individual who is passionate and excited about leading and
developing a best in class learning and development program for one of the largest mattress
retailers in the nation! If you have a passion to help people grow to their best potential and
utilize the newest technologies and training systems then we want you! You will work closely with
our Vice President of Sales and our District Manager team to create the best tools and programs so
that everyone can win. We currently have 47 stores and are growing fast through Northern

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establishes and coordinates an organization-wide approach to learning and development
• Develops and executes innovative strategies to ensure the organization has the necessary skills
and competencies to meet company business plans.
• Establishes a process for designing, identifying, delivering, coordinating, and evaluating
seminars, workshops, courses, and training curricula to make training recommendations to management
• Develops needs analysis to identify skills/competency gaps and establishes measures to track
progress
• Defines minimum skill proficiencies for critical positions and develops a process for evaluating
incumbents for the purpose of identifying strengths and weaknesses
• Design and deliver engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars for sales
representatives, managers, and other relevant staff.
• Develops and implements programs, processes, and strategies that enable managers to plan,
evaluate, develop, and improve their human and organization resources to optimize their
contribution to the company
• Identifies leadership development needs and implements appropriate training and development
programs; establishes a company-wide mentoring program to ensure the development of future
leadership
• Provides internal consulting to individuals and stores on training and development opportunities
that will enhance their performance
• Create training materials, including presentations, handouts, e-learning modules, and other
resources to support training initiatives
• Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to ensure the training content is
accurate, relevant, and up to date
• Utilize a variety of training methods and techniques, such as role-playing, simulations, case
studies, and group activities to maximize learning outcomes
• Identify weaknesses at the store level in “customer service” and create a procedures or
training
plans to prevent future challenges
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and innovations in sales training and
development
• Performs other duties as assigned by VP of Sales
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) OR Four plus years of experience leading comprehensive
training programs
• Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating teams
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills
• Ability to work with all levels of management
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to manage priorities and
workflow
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Demonstrate ability to plan and organize projects
• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Internet Explorer
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
• Collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information
• Understand and respond to a diverse population
• Ability to travel by car without restrictions
• Occasional overnight trips may be needed
• Ability to work occasional weekends and major holidays
