Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons, P.C. (DMOS) is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to serve and support employees and leaders as part of a long standing healthcare organization. DMOS is the largest and oldest orthopedic practice in the Central Iowa area and prides itself on serving peers, providers and the community through a servant heart approach. Do I want this Job?: This role supports and performs HR related duties at the professional level in several functional areas including, recruiting, onboarding, affirmative action, employee injury, FMLA, ADA, job shadows, employment equity programs and more. This role will work directly with department Supervisors and be highly engaged in recruiting and retention efforts. This person will partner closely with other HR Business Partners to make sound recommendations to employees and leaders and learn cross functional skills to support all levels of the organization. You are data driven, and detail oriented and can follow set processes and procedures to ensure timely outcomes and consistent responses. You will be enrolled in the Emerging Leadership and Supervisor training programs at DMOS.
Can I do this Job?: You have experience in customer service, an understanding of academic human resources knowledge, and a passion for learning to help find, support, and retain our teams. You can work closely with other HR team members to help manage a full cycle recruiting and onboarding experience. You will also act as a talent advisor for hiring managers, selecting the finest candidates for our teams. You can be curious and kind with team members. You have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or 1-3 years of working experience. You may be at a desk for long periods of time that may seem unnatural. You have great computer skills, organizational skills and can think on your feet. You can demonstrate empathy and listen to concerns without judgement. You have an active HR certification, or are willing to get certified within the first 12 months. You can work the hours for this position typically Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM onsite, because ultimately, we are all here to help employees focus on patients. Employee and patient information that gets shared at work, stays at work.
