Description
Riveon Mental Health and Recovery (Formerly The LCADA Way and Nord Center) is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to work in various locations.
Summary: The Maintenance position is responsible for general building maintenance and repair and general lawn care and landscaping duties of all Riveon Mental Health and Recovery facilities.
Essential Functions: Perform general building maintenance and repair to Riveon Mental Health and Recovery facilities. Perform general lawn care and landscaping duties. Maintain adequate inventory of maintenance and janitorial supplies for daily operations of residential sites. Work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team to complete work on schedule with quality results. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain records of such. Perform cleaning and janitorial duties as required, including but not limited to carpet cleaning, mopping, sweeping, garbage removal and replenishment of hand hygiene and other consumable products, as identified during daily and routine facility inspections. Monitor and maintain Riveon Mental Health and Recovery facilities in compliance with city, county, state and accrediting bodies’ fire/safety standards. Complete and submit to the Facilities Manager inspection reports for assigned facilities on a daily, monthly, or quarterly basis as assigned. Identify and problem solve operational/equipment issues under the direction of the Facilities Manager. Assist with agency vehicles maintenance as assigned by Facilities Manager.
Requirements
General Requirements: Prior maintenance experience preferred. Must possess valid Driver’s License and be insurable through agency’s automobile insurance carrier. Ability to drive passenger vans, pickup trucks and other equipment. Ability to operate manual and power tools and equipment. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Must be able to perform snow and ice removal tasks, and respond at any time of the day or night when called. Must have the ability to effectively work with Agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population in order to promote an atmosphere of quality customer service for both internal and external customers. Floating/working at various locations as needed.
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification Requirements: Technical Certifications in related field preferred.
Amount of Travel: Minimal, mostly confined to local travel.
Salary Range: Salary commensurate with degree and experience.
Working Conditions: Work closely with others. Extensive standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching and bending. Frequently lifts, carriers or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing 60 to 100 lbs. Frequent lifting of heavy equipment and furniture/furnishings. Considerable kneeling and crouching. Works around equipment and machinery; manual dexterity required. Exposure to adverse weather conditions, hazardous chemicals, odors, dirt and dust. Maintain mental capacity that permits making sound judgments regarding work and have regular attendance. The employee is expected to adhere to all agency policies and procedures.
