Upstream Research Associate

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our team at ServareGMP, a charitable public benefit organization. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with a solid academic foundation who are eager to contribute to impactful scientific research while collaborating with experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments as prescribed by supervisors, progressing to independent execution as proficiency is attained.
• Engage in project development by performing experiments, troubleshooting issues, and understanding project objectives and experimental inquiries.
• Collaborate with lead scientists and the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) in managing operations involving complex systems and bioprocessing tasks.
• Maintain comprehensive records of experiments in compliance with company protocols.
• Present data and findings to supervisors and other company personnel.
• Adhere to safety protocols and laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Undertake additional work-related tasks as assigned.
  
  

Required Skills

• Ability to meticulously follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong aptitude in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with standard biological techniques and laboratory equipment is strongly preferred.
• Capability to work effectively within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position requiring a minimum of four years of academic experience leading to a B.S. degree.
• Research Associate II requires a B.S. degree and at least two years of industry experience.
• Research Associate III requires a B.S. degree and a minimum of three years of industry experience.
