Position

Battery storage market is booming in North America and Latam and NHOA is positioning to become a leader in the market. Declining lithium-ion battery prices, increasing solar PV installations and electric vehicles development are many factors driving the battery market in this region.

As a Service Engineer / Technician, you will participate and actively contribute to ambitious growth targets of NHOA designing, crafting and implementing a world class after sales service at NHOA t. You will be in charge of the after-sale activities for the Battery Energy Storage Systems installed by NHOA. Reporting directly to the Head of Service Americas, you will perform and oversee the O&M activities with a truly customer-centric and results driven approach supporting our key costumer in the region.

Task And Duties

  • Perform as required, the scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance activities on site both electrical and minor mechanical work. In accordance with the internal and external regulations, relevant standards, and codes of practice.
  • Where applicable, coordinate third-party O&M contractors and/or NHOA Americas suppliers in executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities on site, both electrical and minor mechanical work, in accordance with internal and external regulations, relevant standards, and codes of practice and monitoring compliance with Division of Responsibilities agreed between NHOA Americas and other party.
  • Supervise and monitor remotely the NHOA Energy plants to guarantee the full operation of the systems to maximize its performance.
  • Support the commissioning team on-site as required.
  • Prompt remote and on-site support to the Client in response to failure/fault on any components/assets to restore system functionality.
  • Assist the Client with technical enquiries as required.
  • Assist the Head of Service Americas in managing Client relationships and, where needed, plant performances in order to verify compliance with contractual obligations
  • Perform troubleshooting activities through plant HMI, data analysis and PLC code debug.
  • Actively contribute to the improvement of the Service processes and procedures by providing "from the field" feedback.
  • Responsible for documenting all work (accurate and up to date) carried out in relation to preventive and corrective maintenance, remediation, repairs, performance, in accordance with company/Client guidelines.
  • Participation in training courses on specialized topics, locally or overseas as required.
  • Keep updated spare parts and consumables available on site, tracking any equipment used and being responsible for pointing out replenishment needs.

Requirements

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Energy/Electrical/Automation) field and/or electrician license, and/or Electrical Technician Certificate
  • Electrical installation and panel building experience preferred.
  • Previous experience on field in Power Conversion Systems and Battery Storage
  • SCADA and PLC control system experience preferred
  • OSHA Training Certification
  • 30 HoursNFPA 70E Training Course Certification
  • CPR Training Certification

  • Strong interest in development
  • Flexibility to travel on short notice
  • Excellent fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work in a team with a proactive mindset
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Location:

  • The Woodlands (TX).
  • In accordance with actual project needs, travel for 50%of the time might be required.
