Associate Scientist is a pivotal role which requires a dynamic professional with strong hands on experience in industry handling and processing of biological samples . Job Overview:
Associate Scientist is a pivotal role which requires a dynamic professional with strong hands on experience in industry handling and processing of biological samples . You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with co-workers of all levels to maintain efficient day-to-day operations of the laboratory and play a crucial part of advancing our bioanalytical capabilities.
Additional tasks:
- Assist in maintenance of clean/sterile lab workspace
- Participate in day-to-day operation of the Laboratory, the analysis of samples and associated duties
- Handling and processing of biological samples including competent handling and pipetting technique
- Assist in ordering reagents and consumables and inventory monitoring
- Prepare/review forms and SOPs as needed
- Assist in operation and maintenance of general laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Performance of LBA and/or PCR as required, including data generation according to methods
- Assist in general solution preparation
- Monitoring and maintenance of N2(l) storage and incubators
- Basic operation and routine maintenance of general laboratory equipment. Assist in training of technical staff on operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment as needed
- Basic operation and routine maintenance/calibration check of instruments
- Ordering reagents and consumables and inventory monitoring as requested
- Stock preparations and maintenance of logs (lot #/exp date etc) as needed
- Assist in sample handling for projects
- Sample preparation procedures including PBMC preparation, serum/plasma/cytosol extraction etc as trained
- Perform LBA and PCR assays as trained and directed
- Organize and collate raw data from assay runs performed as required
- Assist in performance of data analysis as directed for specific assay formats
- S or MSc or PHD in related field Plus industry experience.
- Hands-on experience working with Large Molecule Immunoassays
- Hands-on experience working with Ligand Binding assays and/or PCR would be advantageous
- Woking knowledge of GLP regulations
