Summary Statement: The Information Systems Manager (ISM) is responsible for maintaining network security and the smooth operation of all VG technology systems in coordination with VG's MSP. This position manages all systems & devices attached to VG's network not managed by MSP and, at the direction of the InSight Product Owner, leads a DevTeam in Agile methodology to develop the eye bank's donor database. This position ensures Portland location facilities are in good repair and maintained.
This is a hybrid role in which the ISM will be required to work in the Portland office a few days a week with minimal travel to Boston.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills
- Experience with M365 user and mailbox administration, licensing, auditing, and managing net worked devices is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure administration is required.
- Experience troubleshooting and solving technical issues is required.
- Experience with FileMaker Pro or other relational database software is required.
- Knowledge of network security, including web interfaces & mobile devices.
- Experience managing help desk tickets, preferably within Jira and Confluence
- SharePoint online administration
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with technical writing ability preferred.
- Experience with agile product development is preferred.
- In cooperation with MSP and Lead Database Architect, maintain all VG network servers. This includes maintenance of security patches, software updates, email & internet filters, and the general health of the network.
- Ensure that network security is properly maintained and enforced.
- Ensure employee on- and off-boarding processes are smooth and meet operational needs.
- Ensure proper licensing of all business software.
- Recommend improvements in efficiency, reliability, cost reduction, and redundancy of information systems through equipment and software purchases.
- Ensure the Portland site facilities are maintained and orderly.
- Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures within the scope of the Information Systems and Facilities Departments.
- Collaborate with consultants, suppliers, vendors, and other third parties to resolve issues that escalate beyond the scope of knowledge of the ISM.
- Collaborate with SrVPSS to ensure Dev Team has resources to efficiently manage InSight Feedback tickets and software development projects.
- Collaborate with directors, managers, and staff to ensure that VG's technology adequately supports the goals of the organization.
- Respond to IT and facilities issues during nights and weekends, in person or via remote access, as needed. This responsibility will be shared among other key members of the department.
