Position Summary: The Front Office Support / AP/AR Clerk will support a variety of financial and administrative operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and front office sales support. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge and be flexible enough to handle tasks ranging from data entry to customer interaction. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Transaction Management: Assist with the management and recording of daily financial transactions, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable Support: Provide support for accounts payable and receivable operations, including processing invoices, filling documents, collecting related transactions and managing customer and vendor accounts.
- Front Office Sales Support: Occasionally assist with entering customer orders into the ERP system and handling front office phone calls, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Cross-Training and Flexibility: Be cross-trained in various financial and administrative roles to provide support where needed, enhancing overall team flexibility and efficiency.
- Transaction Validation: Verify transaction validity and accuracy, ensuring all financial activities comply with legal standards and company policies.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient office operations, including document management and compliance with filing requirements.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other departments to ensure financial activities are up to date and aligned with broader company operations and goals
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Proven experience in accounting or a similar role, preferably within the fresh produce or related industry.
- Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to self-learn online portals and new software packages is essential. Experience with Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to accurately handle a medium-to-heavy amount of daily transactions and customer interactions.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with customers and team members. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, essential for managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
