Summary

The CAD Designer will be responsible for creating, modifying and supplying sales materials with the use of AutoCAD, 3DS Max Design, Lumion, Photoshop and other tools to create 2D and 3D layouts or renderings.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Use AutoCAD,3D Studio Max Design to create layouts and 3D’s of playground equipment
  • Demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication
  • Read and interpret supplied drawings and specifications
  • Prepare accurate detailed drawings from data supplied by sales representatives
  • Maintain complete, readily accessible files and records of quote requests
  • Support large projects and quick turnaround for sales representatives.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and outside sales representatives
  • Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Education And/or Experience

  • Must have 2 year degree in Drafting or equivalent experience.

Travel

  • Minimal travel required.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, drawings and specification along with the current safety guidelines and standards. Must have the ability to speak effectively with customers, sales representatives or employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability

  • Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Excel, Word, Microsoft Word and Adobe Software.

Other Skills

  • Knowledge or experience in the Landscaping Design, Landscape Architecture or the playground industry a plus
  • Detailed Oriented and Organizational Skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines
  • Willing to work in a team or group environment

Work Environment

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, except in the manufacturing environment where PPE may be required.
