What You Will Do
The Administrative Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the housing waitlist process, front desk operations, and administrative collaboration with the finance team. You will be managing and tracking large-scale projects, implementing, and maintaining project management software, and ensuring workplace safety in alignment with OSHA standards. Additionally, this position will oversee website management, support long-term organizational planning, and lead research initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
This role demands a balance of technical proficiency, particularly with IT systems and enterprise services, and excellent interpersonal skills to manage teams and foster collaboration. The successful candidate for this position must be detail-oriented, skilled in processing and problem-solving, and adept at navigating compliance and safety protocols. With a focus on both short-term efficiency and long-term planning, the Administrative Manager will be instrumental in advancing the Housing Authority’s mission to serve the community effectively.

- Supervise administrative staff and manage day-to-day office operations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for administrative and operational teams during system-related disruptions.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to system crashes, working with IT and other departments to resolve issues.
- Liaise with other departments, agencies, and external partners.
- Coordinate communication between departments during outages to ensure alignment and effective problem-solving.
- Maintain and update internal procedures related to business continuity and system recovery.

- Must pass the pre-employment background check.
- Must have an Oregon Driver license and have a driving record that meets the Salem Housing Authority's driving standards.
- Must obtain industry standard certifications within one year of hire when required depending on area of assignment.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration or related field, and five years of related experience including progressively responsible managerial experience, or any combination of education, experience, and training that demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities as listed, and ability to perform the essential job functions.
