Job Summary
This position reports to the Compliance Senior Director of the Audits, and Investigations (CAI) segment within Michigan Medicine Corporate Compliance's Office. This position will provide administrative and substantive support to the Intake function within the Corporate Compliance Department. This position will require knowledge of and adherence to standard operating procedures; triaging Intake matters to the appropriate subject matter expert and, in some instances, managing the Intake (with guidance and input from others within the office); monitoring to ensure appropriate completion of Intake matters; following up to assure risks are mitigated; creating metrics and reports that demonstrate progress towards goals and developing reports and other visual aides to inform leadership and customers of work that is underway or completed.

Responsibilities*
- Enter data into the Office's software programs to ensure and enhance data integrity and reliability.
- Track responses to Intake, including timeliness and status of corrective action plans; aggregate data; identify themes and patterns.
- Prepare monthly and yearly summary reports.
- Update and maintain educational resources.
- Use Excel, Tableau, SharePoint, and other similar resources to track progress, display metrics, monitor performance and show trends.
- Perform data ?clean up?, as needed.
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- At least 1 year relevant work experience in healthcare, compliance or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or demonstrated performance with high level work quality and productivity.
- Experience navigating a complex organization and engaging many in the process to reach success.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities and high visibility.
- Strong organizational and verbal skills, with the ability to quickly analyze issues and craft practical, business-oriented solutions.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and work independently to meet deadlines and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Ability to synthesize data and develop metrics and information that accurately captures the essence of the data and tells a compelling story
- Technical proficiency as would be appropriate for utilizing a software case management system.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a proven record of working collaboratively with others and also work under direct supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Complete discretion and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of and adherence to high reliability principles.
- Knowledge of the University of Michigan?s policies and procedures.
- Previous experience working in an academic health center, or similar organization.
- Experience with a software-based case management system.
- Some knowledge of Compliance, e.g., HIPAA, conflicts of interest, data sharing, revenue-related matters, etc.
