Job Story
The Molecular Diagnostic Lab is looking for a student to help with postproduction.

Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Job Duties
  • Perform physical counts of medications to be labeled.
  • Perform visual inspection on product units not in the quarantine room (syringes and
droptainers).
  • Apply labels and tamper seals (where necessary).
  • Select appropriate box/cooler and packaging product for delivery.
  • Select appropriate product to fulfill customer orders.
  • Perform proper documentation of forms in all post-production areas, and other duties
as assigned

Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed.
  • Ability to perform work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work within tight timelines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and organize resources to ensure work is completed on
time.
  • Ability to focus on detail and quality, accuracy, sterility, and aseptic technique.
  • Possess basic computer and math skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Undergraduate student interested in learning about manufacturing.

Additional Information for Posting
This position is located at Fagron Sterile Services. Applicant must be able to work in an off-campus position and during second shift (after 1:30 pm). Preference will be given to undergraduate student interested in learning about manufacturing.

Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
